Design-IT Fees

Due to the bespoke nature of the work we are unable to give any standard prices. Please contact us for an informal chat about your requirements and a no obligation estimate of costs and timescales.

Remote-IT Fees

When comparing the costs below with the cost of maintaining an in-house IT service, the benefits are immediately clear. When factors such as covering shift patterns, training, holiday and sick leave are taken in to account the Remote-IT service becomes even more compelling.
As a comparison, here are some typical base salary ranges for support permanent staff:
  • 1st Line/Help Desk Engineer: £15K to 25K
  • 2nd Line/Desktop Support Engineer: £20k - £35K
  • 3rd Line/Server Support Engineer: £30K - £50K
On top of these costs you have to add recruitment fees, pension, facilities, health care, overtime, sick/maternity pay and other costs... there is also the issue of staff training, motivation and retention. Our Maintenance Aggrements package all of the above variable costs and more into a single fixed monthly or yearly payment to reduce over heads and simplify budgets.

A Site Survey is required prior to comencement of the support agreement and includes the detailed audit and documentation of your current network configuration, as well as user and services profile to ensure the correct support package is provided. Once the support aggrement has started an automated asset discovery is undertaken to form a much more detailed view. We are happy to provide any additional support that may be required to finalise the asset register.
An Optional Hardware Fee caters for the provisioning of a Cisco ASA 5505 appliance to provide the VPN support required by all Cherry Tree IT support agreements in the event that there is no existing VPN capability. This fee includes provisioning the hardware, configuring and testing the VPN as well as installation to site and is only required if there is no existing suitable VPN support.

Discounts

Our maintenance agreements are subject to the following discounts for each consecutive year of engagement:

Signing up for over one years support will result in the above annual discounts being applied to the entire term. For example:
  • A two year contract will have a 5% discount applied from day one
  • A three year contract will have a 10% discount applied from day one
  • Unless otherwise agreed discounts are capped at a maximum of 20%
This is in addition to the 15% saving made by paying annually in advance.

Ad-Hoc Support

For clients not requiring our maintenance agreements we offer the following rates on an ad-hoc basis

  • Helpdesk Service - £45/hour
  • Desktop Support /Build Engineer -£90/hour
  • Server Support /Consultant /Trainer - £125/hour
  • Lead Consultant / Project Manager - £150/hour
  • Solutions Architect - £200/hour
  • Callout fee - £150 per incident if a site visit is required (plus minimum 3 hours charge rate for respective service).

Referral Fees

Any person or organisation referring a client to either Cherry Tree IT Limited or our sister company Polestar Recruitment Limited who is then successfully engaged will receive 5% of the first three months invoices as our way of saying thanks.
